Interop Presents Unconference

April 29th, 2008 by Louis DiMeglio

This year at Interop, there will be even more time for geek fellowship and conversation with a side of beer. Unconference is the brainchild of Alistair Croll, a well-known entrepreneur, IT professional, and blogger. Unconference is designed to let users, experts and vendors come together in a casual environment to talk about how the industry is changing. We’re excited to be a part of the Grid, On-demand and Virtualization session: “Monitoring What You Can’t Touch”. I’ll be providing expert advice, case studies and fun anecdotes on what we have seen companies need, want, and achieve with monitoring solutions that use virtualization.

Ian Rae of Syntenic is moderating our panel, and we’re excited to talk about network monitoring, uptime, downtime, applications, servers and what the 24×7 nature of virtualization and monitoring really means. Other panel themes include Web operations, Grid, on-demand, and virtualization, Mobility and telepresence, and Security. Each panel is set to review services, performance, monitoring, and next-generation trends. Experts include: Brian Albers, VP Development for Kaazing, Kirill Sheynkman, President & CEO of Elastra Corporation, Jinesh Varia, Evangelist for Amazon Web Services, and Brian Havener, Director, Solutions Management for Good/Motorola.

Join us from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Our session is last, starting at 6:30 pm. It’s sure to be a good time with some of the show’s most innovative and fun experts presenting.

Thanks for the note, Louis. We heard pretty much universally good things about the event; a nice change from the one-way monologues of many conferences.
