Alejandro Figueroa is a man on a mission. In addition to his InteropNet duties, he took time to conduct an online session during Interop NY around SNMP and network management for students from the University of Guadalajara. Five students were onsite at Interop NY, getting hands-on experience in the NOC and ten students participated in the online conference call from Guadalajara. Professor Alberto Tejeda takes students from the Cisco Network Academy in Mexico to each Interop. The students have completed networking, routing and switching courses and are two courses away from receiving CCNA certification. Alejandro used EM7 as the tool to demonstrate the fundamental aspects of network management and SNMP.
